I have purchased 4 ioGeek camera from Amazon.
April 2022 ZS-GX2S returned as failed to hold charge after 8 months
April 2022 ZS-GX2S put in the trash after 6 months due to it not turning on after charging
July 2022 ZS-GX2S returned as failed to hold a charge after 9 months
June 2023 ZS-GX3S is the latest camera to be purchased. Today after charging the camera it will not turn on. 10 months after purchase and still within the 2 year guarantee.
Technical support is provided by someone in China with broken English. They basically ask you to try the various troubleshooting steps that you have already tried based on the user manual. They will ask you to try these steps even after you have advised them that you have already completed them.
They will then ask for SN number and some other details so they can share with their tech team. The response in my case on all 3 cameras purchased in 2022 has been totally unsatisfactory and never had the issue been resolved. On one occasion I was asked to turned off the motion detection entirely. What use is the camera without motion detection?
Based on my experience all cameras will work well initially but once you have taken them down to charge them they will NEVER work the same again.
I have wasted a lot of money on these cameras and would have served myself better to splash out a little extra initially and purchased wired cameras with a recording backup.
I cannot believe the reviews provided. As I have said I am on my 4th camera and all 4 have been terrible and failed eventually. They do not honor the 2 years guarantee and trying to return something to them is almost impossible.
Thankfully I purchased mine through Amazon and with a bit of persuasion managed to return 2. The technical support experience is extremely cumbersome, time consuming and at times soul destroying.
